Using the Details button for more Inventory information
Article Summary
In the Inventory screen you can review the key information on your products including stock available and prices.
Using the Details button you can drill into the complete details for a single product.
Viewing the Details for a Product
The following tabs are explained below
Note:
- In Connected Mode Warehouses will come from your Business System that you are connected to.
- If not in Connected Mode, you can Add, Edit or Delete them from within Sales.Live as this article outlines.
Details
On the Detail Tab, the following Fields are available:
- Inventory Code;
- Description 1;
- Description 2;
- Inventory Group;
- Base UOM - the unit in which stock is held and counted
- Lead Time - this can be in any unit that you agree to use within your business. In this example the Lead Time is 14, which could represent 14 Days, or 14 Weeks, depending on the agreed unit of measure that will be entered;
- Average Cost - this Field can be hidden from Sales.Live user. The Administrator can hide the field under the Roles and Permission section of the Setup menu page;
- Last Cost - this Field can be hidden from Sales.Live user. As above, under Roles and Permission section;
- Tax Code.
Notes
On the Notes Tab, you can see & enter notes that relate to the Inventory Item.
Prices
Sales.Live offers an unlimited number of price ‘levels’. Your product’s tax exclusive and tax inclusive Prices for all levels are shown here.
Images
You can attach as many images as you wish to each product. The image marked as ‘Default’ is shown in the ‘card’ view of the Inventory Screen
Alternate Inventory
When a product is out of stock or for any reason you need to offer a customer a substitute for a product, the relevant alternative products are shown here.
Alternates are shown in the Inventory screen with a tag:
Complimentary Inventory
Similar to Alternate Inventory, products which are often sold with this product are listed in Complimentary Inventory.
Action List
If an inventory Item is tagged in the Action List
(see Actions Menu) alongside a Customer, it will be displayed here.
Custom Fields
If you have created any custom Inventory fields, either in Sales .Live or in your business system, they will be available here.
Sales Last 30 Days
This screen shows all sales of the product processed in the last 30 days in graph form.
