What are Expense Rows?

Once you've created your first Cashflow, you'll be presented with a number of rows within your Cashflow schedule.

(We've explained the rows and screen layout in more detail HERE).

Let's walk through your functionality for what we call Unbound Rows and General Ledger (Gl) Rows.

Unbound Rows

An Unbound row is a row that has no relation to a listed expense account. These are ideal for infrequent expenses or income that aren’t necessarily bound to an account

An example of this is Expected Income/Expenses where no Invoices have yet been drawn (allowing for extended forecasting).

To create an Unbound Row:

Right click a Row Header item, and select Add Unbound Row OR

1 - In the Ribbon, Forecast Data Tab, click New Row;
2 - Fill in the details of the Row and click Save;
3 - The row will appear at the top of the Expense Row area.

General Ledger (GL) Rows

A GL Row is a row that is a representation of one or more General Ledger Accounts and has a host more functionality to access than an Unbound Row.

Hovering over a GL Row’s Header will display the Account Codes of all linked GL Accounts

To Create a GL Row:

- In the Ribbon, Forecast Data Tab, click New GL Row;
- Fill in the details of the Row, including the GL Accounts it represents and click Save;
- Note that GL Accounts already allocated in the Forecast are denoted by a warning icon;
- The row will appear at the top of the Expense Row area.
