Dashboard Cache information within Snapshot.Live

What is the Dashboard Cache Time?

All Dashboards, whether Community or Custom, have a Defualt Cache Time.

As an example, if the Sales Dashboard was run by one User (with a date range of 12 months) and another User runs the same Sales Dashboard (for the same 12 month range) and that User runs the Dashboard within a 5 minute time frame, the User would receive the cached data.

Important: In the example above, we assume the default Cache Time to be 5 minutes. Also,  if the User ran the Dashboard in the example above, but now for a 6 month date range, it would fetch the data from the Business System, instead of the Cache.

The default Cache Time is the amount of time that we store the Dashboard Data within Snapshot.Live, so that if the Dashboard is run again by another user (or the same user) it does not go back to the Business System to fetch the data again.

This provides a faster Dashboard loading time for the user. Dashboard caching is performed based on the parameters that are run on the Dashboard.
